About Philip
As a qualified counsellor, I find having the opportunity to help people grow and achieve their goals inspiring and fulfilling. I can see that teaching shares similar outcomes, as well as many values alive in the counselling work. Teaching Psychology, as a Psychology and Counselling graduate, is an opportunity for me to share the knowledge, skills and techniques that I have learnt whilst studying on a Postgraduate level. My teaching is student focused, prioritising the needs of the students, whilst taking into account their goals, areas they wish to improve, as well as areas they already excel at. Our work together will be very organised and goal-oriented, focused on either your course curriculum or more advanced topics. I have experience working with students from Bangor University, helping them improve their essay writing skills, practical counselling-skills, as well as improve their time management and organisation skills. Philip is one of the most reliable people I know. He is a caring and considerate individual that has personally helped me in the past with my own issues. I often turn to him in situations of moral ambiguity, where he will help me to come to my own conclusions by helping me to see things from different perspectives. He is always polite and whilst I have only known him for a few years now, I know that I could trust him with any problem.
I personally recommend Philip as he would make an excellent tutor at this site.Philip has trained in Counselling at MSC level at Bangor University and I have been his supervisor for actual therapeutic and counselling interventions he has carried out with clients referred to him by the NHS.
