About Xavi
My name is Xavi. I'm from Barcelona & I have been teaching Spanish, Catalan & English all around Europe, North America, & the Middle East for the last 12 years.
I studied Theater at UCLA (even though I never graduated) and later on a double degree in English Literature & Linguistics... But once again, I was too big of a misfit to finish college!
So, I came back to my country, did a Master's degree in Catalan Philology & right now I'm preparing for a PhD in Analytic Philosophy.
Aside from helping language learners around the world, I am currently working as an Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona (besides teaching as a guest lecturer at a couple of other colleges & universities in Spain, Belgium & Iran).
I also work as a freelance translator & literary editor with a number of publishers in Spain & Iran.
