About Delaney
My name is Delaney and I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and I study philosophy!
As a Magna Cum Laude student heavily involved in Distinguished Honors and AP coursework, I have spent years writing and studying at a college level while developing a strong foundation in English, literature, rhetoric, and composition. I have also completed several college courses throughout high school, which has strengthened both my academic writing and analytical skills.
I decided to pursue tutoring because I am genuinely interested in teaching and hope to continue into education in the future. More importantly, I value the opportunity to help students grow into more confident communicators and critical thinkers. Language has always interested me because it gives people the ability to express themselves clearly, thoughtfully, and creatively, and I enjoy helping students develop that ability for themselves.
My approach to tutoring is highly individualized. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to fit each person’s needs, goals, and pace. Whether we are working on essay structure, literary analysis, vocabulary development, rhetoric, or overall fluency, I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and intellectually challenging without feeling overwhelming.
Students can expect patience, professionalism, and genuine dedication from me as a tutor. I care deeply about the progress of the students I work with, and I strive to create an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, developing their ideas, and gaining confidence in their abilities.

I aim to enhance my students’ lives through a personalized and supportive approach to learning English. Whether we are meticulously breaking down a challenging piece of literature, practicing essay writing, improving grammar and fluency, or exploring rhetorical techniques, my goal is to help each student build confidence and strengthen their communication skills.
My teaching method focuses on patience, adaptability, and engagement. I tailor lessons to each student’s individual learning style and academic goals, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
A typical lesson may include guided reading and analysis, discussion-based learning, writing exercises, vocabulary development, and constructive feedback designed to encourage steady improvement.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my personal approach and genuine investment in each student’s progress. I strive to make lessons both encouraging and intellectually engaging so students not only improve academically, but also gain confidence in their abilities.
My lessons are open to students of all ages and skill levels, though I primarily work with middle school, and high school students seeking support in English, literature, essay writing, rhetoric, reading comprehension, and overall fluency.
