About Spencer

Hi, I’m Spencer! I studied physics and philosophy at UVA, and I love helping students see that math and physics don’t have to be intimidating. My lessons break big ideas into clear, simple steps, and I focus on building confidence as much as skills. Whether you want to boost your grades, prep for exams, or just finally “get” the concepts, I’ll meet you where you’re at and help you get there. Outside of tutoring, I love reading, nature, music, and enjoy playing guitar and piano.

About the lesson

Unlock your full potential in math and physics with lessons designed to make even the toughest concepts click. With a background in physics and philosophy from UVA and hands-on experience tutoring high school and college students, I specialize in breaking down complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations. Whether you’re aiming to ace AP Physics or Calculus, prepare for exams, or build lasting confidence in problem-solving, my lessons are tailored to your goals and learning style. Expect interactive sessions, real-world applications, and strategies that not only help you master the material but also teach you how to think like a scientist and mathematician.
