I'm Surjo Dutta, a devoted educator with a strong foundation in Engineering Physics. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. My academic journey has been a deep dive into the fascinating world of physics, and I'm thrilled to share that passion with you.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in a comprehensive understanding of physics' core principles. I employ a balanced mix of theoretical discussions and hands-on problem-solving exercises to make even the most complex topics accessible and engaging. My approach to teaching physics is rooted in a deep understanding of the subject's fundamental principles. I use a combination of theoretical discussions and practical examples to make complex topics relatable and easier to grasp. I also employ problem-solving sessions that mimic real-world applications of physics, helping students appreciate the subject's relevance and utility.
A standard lesson with me lasts about 60 minutes. This allows ample time for concept explanation, problem-solving, and addressing any questions or concerns. However, the lesson length can be adjusted based on the student's needs and the topic at hand.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois, where I covered a wide range of physics topics, from Classical Mechanics to Thermal and Statistical Physics. I have also worked in roles that required a strong grasp of physics concepts, further solidifying my understanding of the subject. Importantly, I hold a Working With Children Check (WWCC), ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
My lessons are primarily aimed at university students who are studying physics at an undergraduate level. However, I'm also open to teaching advanced high school students who are looking to get a head start on university-level physics. Age is not a constraint; my focus is on anyone who is keen to deepen their understanding of physics.
