About Jose Manuel
I am currently a Graduate Researcher in the Physics Department at UT working on two state-of-the-art projects on quantum materials, in collaboration with groups at Stanford and Harvard. I have been a TA for a variety of undergraduate-level courses both at UT and Univ. of Rochester for a total of five semesters, leading both problem-solving discussions and experimental lab sessions.

Science can take any shape, and its teaching should be adapted to the student's needs and goals. I am qualified and experienced in teaching private lessons at any level from middle school to undergraduate, in pure or applied STEM. In general, I like to emphasize an intuitive and visual understanding of the material, introducing the relevant theoretical concepts progressively through examples and demonstrations.

I learned condensed matter physics through a program with Jose. He was knowledgeable on the topic and offered good resources to use as a basis for what we discussed. In general Jose is pretty laid back so learning is stress free, and he's cognizant about where you're at in the material and makes sure you understand what's going on.
