About PILAR SOLSONA
My musical training began at the age of 6 with piano and music theory lessons, until I graduated in Classical Piano in The Netherlands. Even so, I have always believed that music exists beyond the classical world, and it is that thought that prompted me to study jazz piano and harmony in Berlin and recently a master's degree in Music Therapy.
Throughout all these years and after concerts in various countries both as a soloist and in chamber music, both in auditoriums and hospitals, I realize that music is much more powerful than we sometimes believe, and that it accompanies us through life. What I like to share in my classes is precisely that, to motivate the student to make music a close friend, a tool for pleasure and expression.

As much as if you are interested in learning well-known tunes or music from soundtracks, to accompany your voice while singing, to improve your technique, your musical knowledge or to learn how to compose your own songs.
The models of the classes vary according to the needs and concerns of the student, and always with the basic principle of learning while enjoying! All of us are musical and creative, and private music lessons are a wonderful vehicle for exploring each one's individuality.
Methodology for children:
I use books like John Thompson's "Easy Piano Course" series and "My Music. Piano Improvisation" combined with familiar songs that the student wants to learn to play.
All combined with activities to develop musicality and creativity and the learning of musical concepts.
Methodology for adults:
I combine technical exercises to gain fluency, playing with hands together, using the pedal ... with pieces and songs based on the student's musical preferences. I also teach notions of harmony and composition if the student manifests curiosity with that area.

Perfect! Estoy muy contenta con Pilar porque tiene una metodología muy clara para enseñarme a entender los fundamentos del piano jazz. Entiende muy bien mi base de piano clásico de conservatorio y ha adaptado las clases a mis conocimientos. Aprendo mucho y me lo paso bien, a pesar de que, en mi caso, las clases tienen que ser online!

Las clases con Pilar siempre son muy amenas y motivadoras. A la vez que se adapta a tu ritmo de aprendizaje y tus intereses para que te sientas más vinculada al piano, también te reta a probar nuevos estilos e interpretaciones más complejas. Eso te sube mucho la autoestima y hace que te superes día a día. ¡Me encanta!
Mis dos hijas están yendo a clases con ella y la verdad que vienen muy contentas, pienso que la motivación y que los niños aprendan diviertiéndose es fundamental en la música. Después de haber probado otros lugares para clases, recomendaría a Pilar sin lugar a dudas.
He estado durante dos años asistiendo asiduamente a clases de piano regularmente y para mi gusto es de los mejores profesores que he tenido. La forma que tiene de llevarte durante la clase hace que realmente disfrutes de la música, sin duda muy recomendable.
