Alex is a highly experienced jazz and pop musician. He is cheerful, patient, he explains concepts clearly and easily.

If you ever meet him to play music or for any tuition you come back home with the right tools to learn saxophone securely, confidently and patiently.

Alex and I play together in a professional standard Jazz band. Not only is he of course incredibly accomplished and dedicated to his art (I have seen him shred on Jam sessions all over London!), but also he is a great teacher. In a collaborative learning environment where we were practicing new tunes he combined kindness and knowledge to explain new ideas. He would make for a very caring and adept Saxophone teacher.

Early 2022 I bought a Saxophone, by the end of 2022 I found a tutor, Alex who has helped me tap into my passion for playing the saxophone. I’m learning skills that I thought would take me a long time to develop, such as learning by ear and reading music. I’m already learning to play Candy by Cameo, which is a family favourite, goal is to play this at upcoming family gathering in 2023.

As a beginner Alex has helped me to find joy in the process of learning and staying motivated and determined to enjoy the music as I learn. It's true that with the right tutor, you are never too old to pursue your passions and learn something new. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex to others who want to connect with music and the beautiful sound of the saxophone.
