About Asha
I earned a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, where I specialised in classical interpretation, ensemble performance, and advanced teaching methodologies. Over the past 10 years, I have trained students across different age groups and skill levels, helping them develop both technical mastery and musical expression. My experience includes preparing students for exams, performances, and competitive auditions.
My teaching style is structured, patient, and highly adaptive to individual learning needs. I believe that piano learning should be both disciplined and enjoyable, so I combine technical exercises with musical creativity to keep students motivated. I carefully observe each student’s strengths and challenges and design personalised strategies to help them progress efficiently.
Beyond teaching, I continue to refine my own musicianship through performance practice, music research, and participation in advanced workshops. I actively study evolving piano pedagogy methods to make my teaching more effective and engaging. One of the most meaningful parts of my journey is seeing students grow into confident musicians who can interpret music with emotional depth, technical precision, and personal expression. Watching a student progress from basic note reading to performing expressive, complex compositions on stage remains the most fulfilling outcome of my work, and it continues to inspire me to improve as an educator every day.

My piano lessons are designed to help students build strong technical foundations while developing musical understanding and expressive playing ability in a structured yet creative learning environment. I focus on hand coordination, finger independence, rhythm precision, note reading, dynamic control, and phrasing, ensuring that students develop both accuracy and musical sensitivity. Each lesson blends technical exercises with real musical pieces so students learn how to apply skills in expressive performance.
Beginners work on posture, keyboard familiarity, basic scales, simple melodies, and rhythm exercises to develop confidence and control at the instrument. Intermediate students focus on improving hand coordination, dynamic contrast, sight-reading ability, and smoother transitions between musical sections. Advanced learners refine interpretation, expressive depth, complex repertoire performance, and stage readiness for formal recitals or examinations.
I also include structured practice plans that guide students on how to practise effectively outside lessons. This helps build discipline, consistency, and long-term improvement. My goal is not just to teach piano playing but to develop independent musicians who understand how to learn and grow on their own through structured musical thinking.
