About Sophia
I began playing piano at a young age, drawn by the instrument’s expressive power and versatility. Over the past eleven years, I have taught students of all ages and abilities, helping them achieve technical mastery, artistic expression, and performance confidence. Teaching piano allows me to combine mentorship with my passion for music, guiding students to discover their unique voice while fostering confidence and creativity. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, learning style, and interests, ensuring an engaging, meaningful, and personalized experience. Witnessing students’ progress and joy remains the most rewarding aspect of my teaching. My teaching style is patient, adaptive, and deeply student-centered. Lessons integrate technical exercises, repertoire, theory, improvisation, and creative projects to balance mastery and artistic exploration. I encourage experimentation, self-expression, and independence, fostering both musical and personal growth. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore new repertoire, and engage in professional development to refine my methods. Teaching piano is more than a profession—it is a calling. I focus on helping students connect technical precision with emotional expression, encouraging them to find their personal voice through music. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to individual skill levels and goals, fostering both progress and enjoyment. I believe that cultivating creativity alongside technique allows students to experience the joy of music and develop confidence in their abilities, making every session both inspiring and effective.
Lessons are structured for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners. Beginners focus on posture, hand coordination, and basic repertoire. Intermediate students expand their skills with more complex pieces, dynamics, and stylistic interpretation. Advanced learners refine technical mastery, musical phrasing, and performance readiness.
