About Justin
I have more than 12 years of experience teaching piano to college students, helping them achieve technical proficiency, artistic expression, and performance confidence. My teaching style is creative, adaptive, and student-focused, designed to meet each learner’s goals and learning style. I incorporate innovative techniques such as improvisation, composition exercises, sight-reading activities, digital music tools, and blending classical with contemporary music to make lessons fun, interactive, and effective.
I emphasize developing technique, rhythm, theory, and performance readiness while encouraging students to explore their creativity and express themselves musically. I aim to create a positive, motivating, and inspiring environment where students feel confident, challenged, and supported. My mission is to help students grow as musicians, enjoy learning, and develop a lifelong love for piano and music.

My piano teaching approach focuses on creativity, understanding, and consistent growth. I believe piano learning should be enjoyable, structured, and rewarding for every student.
Creativity is encouraged through exploring different music styles, playing favorite songs, and practicing simple improvisation. This helps students express themselves and stay motivated.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand music step by step. I explain rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in clear, simple terms. Students learn to identify mistakes and improve independently.
Accountability is a key part of my teaching. I help students set goals, follow consistent practice routines, and track their progress. Regular feedback keeps students disciplined and confident.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, keyboard coordination, and basic composition to support complete musical growth.
