About Erik
I have a Bachelors and a Masters degree in piano performance and also have a PhD in music history. I am a working musician. My work allows me to teach, play music in concert halls, hotels, restaurants, and resorts. When not playing solo, I perform with a cellist and also a piece band. I have always loved the classical piano repertoire but find myself playing more jazz and popular styles. I have also learned to play the Hammond organ and would be happy to help others explore that instrument as well.

Lessons are given over Zoom or in person. Students work on music from many genres while learning practical rudiments of music. My students range in age from 6-75 at all ability levels and a variety of interests. Some play for the pure enjoyment while others learn the tools to become a working musician.
