About Zoe
Hey, I'm Zoe! Piano is where my musical journey started, and after 4 years of teaching it I bring more enthusiasm and energy to every lesson than ever before. I am not your traditional piano teacher — I am the teacher who makes piano feel like the coolest thing you have ever learned. My lessons blend solid classical technique with the most modern and relevant styles and skills, because I believe piano education in 2025 should be exciting, current, and genuinely connected to the music my students love and live every day.
I teach both acoustic piano and modern keyboard, synthesizer, and music production basics, because today's piano student deserves to understand both the classical tradition and the contemporary digital world. Want to learn a current pop hit? Done. Want to understand how to use a synthesizer to create your own sounds? Absolutely. Want to learn jazz comping, gospel runs, or how to produce beats on a keyboard? I cover all of it, and I make every single one of those topics engaging, clear, and genuinely fun. Over 4 years I have helped students pass Grade 4 and Grade 5 piano assessments, perform confidently at school recitals, and develop a real passion for the instrument that goes way beyond completing exercises. I was recognized as a Top Rising Online Piano Instructor on a major US tutoring platform in 2024. My piano lessons are modern, high energy, and completely personalized to every student. I cover proper hand position, finger technique and posture from day one, note reading and music notation, treble and bass clef reading, rhythm reading and counting, scales in all major and minor keys, chord building and chord inversions, arpeggios and broken chord technique, classical piano repertoire including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Clementi, contemporary and pop piano styles, learning current chart-topping songs on piano, jazz piano comping and chord voicings, blues and boogie-woogie patterns, gospel piano technique, chord chart and lead sheet reading, keyboard and synthesizer fundamentals, synthesizer sound design and patch creation, digital piano navigation and settings, MIDI basics and music production introduction, beat making on keyboard, DAW integration for production-minded students, looping and layering keyboard sounds, pedal technique, sight-reading development, music theory applied directly to piano, improvisation and creative playing, performance expression and dynamics, recital and exam preparation, stage performance coaching, and overcoming performance anxiety with modern confidence techniques.
