About Kate
I am a piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a PhD in Piano Education. Over the years, I have guided students through individual lessons, ensemble performances, and community music events. Teaching piano has allowed me to help learners develop both technical ability and artistic confidence.
My teaching approach emphasizes collaboration, rhythm awareness, musical communication, and performance readiness. I enjoy helping students grow through shared musical experiences while building their individual skills. Every lesson is designed to encourage progress and enjoyment.
I believe music should be accessible, inspiring, and deeply rewarding. Helping students become confident performers and enthusiastic musicians is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. I look forward to supporting learners as they continue their musical journey.

My piano lessons focus on helping students become confident and expressive musicians from the beginning. I combine rhythm training, reading exercises, finger independence activities, and practical keyboard techniques that support steady development. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to individual learning styles.
Students learn sight reading, coordination, duet playing, musical interpretation, dynamics, and performance skills through structured activities. I encourage learners to explore creativity while building strong technical foundations. Every lesson combines discipline and enjoyment to create meaningful progress.
I enjoy helping students develop confidence both at the keyboard and during performances. Individual guidance allows learners to strengthen skills while discovering their own musical strengths. My goal is to make piano learning inspiring, rewarding, and enjoyable.
