About Jannie
Welcoming and friendly and with more than 10 years' experience, I love teaching piano in interactive and enjoyable ways. Having grown up playing piano from an early age, I completed ABRSM Grade 8 and then pursued Licentiate with Trinity College London. I am happy to guide pupils through different genres, for example blues and jazz, classical and contemporary music such as film music or pop songs. So, whether you would like to learn piano for self-enrichment and leisure, or want to work towards piano exams, you are warmly welcomed! Do call me for a chat if you are interested to learn piano.

I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and playing music together. There is a good balance between fun and learning in lessons with lots of encouragement where learners can grow their confidence and love for music in a relaxing environment. Good technical coaching and appreciation of music in a variety of styles/genres are also included. I am passionate about supporting people to play piano with ease and enjoyment. In addition to this, learners can also develop musical abilities in a range of activities such as listening skills, echoes, pitch training, improvisation and rhythm. For learners who would like to do music exams, lessons are geared towards preparing students in all aspects of the syllabus i.e. overall performance of their music, technical assessment, aural and sight reading. Learners feel ready and assured for their exam- results of students have been exceptional with distinctions and merits. After each lesson, notes are provided with learning points plus ideas to practise effectively at home. For young learners, I also have a bank of tips and suggestions to parents in supporting their children. Adults and children find their learning journey with me to be very positive and enjoyable.

Perfect! My daughter is very happy - she has been going weekly for over 18 months and is making rapid progress. She loves piano lessons with Jannie!
Perfect! Jannie teaches my 6 year old daughter. She's calm, patient, fun, professional, and provides a variety of activities involving rhythm and singing so that my daughter never gets tired or bored. Perfect! Jannie is a fantastic person and teacher! She is punctual, organized, welcoming, reliable. She understands your lagoons from the first lesson and helps you improve your qualities. She has a lot of patience and a quiet way of teaching. She teaches the piano with passion and every time you come home you always have the charge of studying to improve yourself. In addition to the practice of the instrument she also teaches you the theory that is very important if you want to excel.
