About Nova
My teaching approach focuses on building strong, practical skills while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating. I guide students through structured exercises, starting with chord progressions to understand harmony and musical structure. Scale work follows to improve finger strength, dexterity, and technical confidence. For those learning piano for enjoyment or contemporary styles, I focus on practical skills that let you play the music you love. Lessons are designed to balance challenge and creativity, helping students grow musically at their own pace. I aim to boost confidence while developing strong fundamentals. Every session encourages exploration, experimentation, and personal expression. My goal is to make sure students feel accomplished and inspired after each lesson.

I’m a dedicated piano tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. Music composition and songwriting are my true passions, and I love sharing that excitement with my students. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and highly personalized, designed to meet the needs of learners at every level. I work with school students, college students, adults, and professionals, tailoring lessons to each individual’s goals.
I specialize in chord theory, performance skills, sight-reading, and improvisation, helping students develop both technical mastery and creative expression. Over the years, I’ve guided learners from intermediate to advanced levels, as well as students performing at the professional and expert stages. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while nurturing each student’s unique musical voice.
I believe learning piano should be enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding. Together, we explore repertoire, technique, and improvisation, ensuring every lesson is productive and fun.
