Katie tutored our daughter for English Language GCSE when she wasn't getting enough guidance from her school teacher. Katie helped her with detailed feedback on her tasks from school, key concepts and exam techniques. This enabled our daughter to get a top grade in a subject she had become worried about.

Katie worked with my daughter online during her GCSE studies. My daughter had been very unhappy in English lessons at school, was struggling with the set works in English literature and lacked confidence in answering exam-style questions. The sessions with Kate went really well, they quickly built up rapport and I left them to it. I’m pleased to report that my daughter achieved a grade 7 GCSE which stood her in good stead for subsequent A levels.

Kate was a brilliant tutor for my son. He just wasn't clicking with English Language and couldn't seem to get past a grad 6 in school. With Kate's help he got an 8 in his exam. What helped was she started out by figuring out his weak spots, then worked on them with him, giving him a tonne of encouragement. He was motivated to do extra work and he got his result. So, yes, I would 100% recommend Kate as a tutor.

I would recommend Kate without hesitation as a tutor. We have used her services for both our children. My son was really struggling with his GCSE Language and Literature, and Kate managed to boost his confidence and motivation. We went from worrying whether we would actually get him to sit the exams to him gaining a 7 and 6 respectively. A disaster averted!
Our daughter is very different and needed a boost to hit the top grades in Literature A Level. She got an A and we were really happy for her. She can be a worrier, and Kate's calm manner and clear experience with students at this level really helped her to see the wood for the trees. She's now happily at uni.
