I am passionate about developing a life-long passion for learning in my students and supporting their intellectual growth. I focus on building conceptual mastery through deliberate practice, focused questions, and collaborative problem-solving. I also integrate executive functioning, planning, and time-management skills into my work with students.
I offer support to high-school students in English, social studies, mathematics (geometry, precalc, and calculus), and AP courses (US History, European History, Government, and Economics, and Statistics). I also support college-level students for writing assignments (all areas) and subject support in philosophy and political science.

Perfect! Nick is FANTASTIC!! He is a skilled, thoughtful, and intuitive tutor. His knowledge on political theory is vast and comprehensive. He encourages dialogue in our sessions and helps me understand the material beyond simply the text in front of us. On top of all that, he is professional, timely, and responsive. I cannot recommend him enough.

Samuel Morales- This lesson was for Cristina’s son, Samuel. Samuel is a bright and engaged young man and I have enjoyed reading the early Platonic dialogues with him. I have known Nick since graduate school. He has an impressive breadth of knowledge and a passion for teaching, explaining, and learning. He’s a talented teacher who adjusts to students’ learning styles. Nick is just as comfortable discussing the metaphysics of infinity as he is political science. I recommend him enthusiastically.
