Matthew is an excellent communicator and an even better educator. His Conflict and Abuse course has been a favorite of mine since taking it in college, wherein he demonstrated not only his ability to condense advanced, highly abstract material for a novice audience, but his adaptability to fit his expertise to meet the varied interests and talents of his students. I have known Dr. Bowker for many years. We've sat at conferences together, written (a bit) together and I've been reading his works as best as I can as they come out at a blistering pace.
