About Dru
My name is Dru Nisbett and I am a second-year student at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Ever since I was in school, I knew that I would eventually pursue a career in STEM. I am pursuing a BS Biology degree with a concentration in molecular biology, and minors in human anatomy and chemistry. I have found that the way I learn has helped my peers in my classes. I enjoy everything there is to know about science, and resultantly love to teach science to others. Science can be very hard to wrap ones head around, but by breaking down and building ideas, I can help one understand the core idea and connect all the nitty gritty details to the general topic.

As a college student, I have found that I learn so much information at once. To help myself learn all of that material, I’ve needed to come up with some unique ways for learning. Depending on the specific needs of each student, different techniques could apply or not apply. I would prefer to have a “consultation,” where I can get a better idea of the students specific needs from me. I am comfortable teaching all ages, from 1st grade all the way to senior year of high school. I am proficient in math, biology, chemistry, life science, etc. The only STEM class I am not comfortable tutoring for is physics, as I have not taken a physics class in a while.
