About Rakesh

Engineering Excellence: High-Level Tutoring & Academic Mentorship Since 2014 I bring over a decade of experience teaching and mentoring students in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, and Mathematics. My tutoring journey spans leading institutions including Imperial College London, where I also conducted cutting-edge research in mechanical engineering, computational materials, dislocation dynamics, and nuclear materials performance. With a strong academic background—PhD in Mechanical Engineering (IIT), MEng in Industrial Materials & Metallurgy, and BEng in Mechanical Engineering—I combine deep subject expertise with practical engineering insight. Higher Education Expertise University-Level Teaching & Tutoring: 1400+ hours across key subjects such as Solid & Structural Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Finite Element Method (FEM), Materials Science, and Nuclear Engineering. Private Tutoring: 100+ hours of personalised coaching in physics, mathematics, and core engineering modules. Language Support: Instruction in English with an emphasis on academic writing, technical report preparation, and clear communication. My Teaching Approach I tailor each session to the student’s goals—whether mastering advanced engineering concepts, catching up on challenging modules, or preparing for exams and coursework. Each session ends with a clear progress update, outlining what was covered, strengths observed, and recommended next steps. Innovative Online Tutoring Using digital writing tablets, screen sharing, interactive whiteboards, and simulation tools, I deliver highly engaging online sessions that replicate the effectiveness of in-person teaching—accessible globally with no loss in quality. Empower Your Engineering Learning Gain clarity, confidence, and top-tier understanding from a tutor who blends research excellence, real engineering experience, and a proven record of student success. Whether you’re a school or university student, a professional learner, or preparing for competitive exams, I’m here to help you excel.

Innovative Tutoring Designed for Real Results Every student learns differently, and I believe in designing customised study plans that align with your goals, exam timelines, course content, and current understanding. I also estimate the tutoring and self-study hours needed to ensure steady, measurable progress throughout your engineering programme. To make sessions engaging and intuitive, I relate complex engineering principles to real-world applications and your personal interests. Whether it’s analysing complex stress analysis using computer simulations or understanding deformation analysis via real components, I turn abstract theory into clear, practical insight. Each lesson ends with a structured progress update, summarising what we covered, strengths demonstrated, challenges identified, and suggested next steps. This report is emailed promptly, giving students—and parents, where applicable—a transparent view of ongoing improvement. I deliver both in-person and online sessions, with over half conducted online using tools such as digital drawing tablets, interactive boards, and platforms like Zoom or Teams. This setup combines the quality of face-to-face teaching with the flexibility and convenience of virtual learning. I work best with motivated students who are committed to improving their academic performance. To ensure fairness and consistent support, I maintain a firm booking policy, with exceptions only for genuine medical emergencies supported by documentation.
