About Isobel
I’ve recently finished my A level exams. I studied Maths, Biology and Chemistry and, although they were hard, I very much enjoyed studying these subjects as I’m super interested in STEM. I even intend to pursue a career in STEM. I’ve tutored maths to fellow students in my school before and I thought it would such a great opportunity to teach these fantastic subjects to a wider range of younger students and to show how far you can improve with some hard work and determination. I’m always open to share some top tips that have helped me to reach top marks in past tests/exams.

My first approach would be to get to know the student better by finding out the topics they like and don’t like and also which topics they struggle with the most. I’d start the lesson with a short exercise of questions from several topics previously covered in class. This way, it will be easier to highlight topics that the student knows well and the ones that need more focus on. The rest of the lesson will be to teach chosen topics in more depth including getting the student to do some practice questions at the end to test their understanding. Each lesson will last approximately 1.5 hours. I realise every student is different so I will do my best to adjust my teaching methods towards each individual in order to make sure they understand as clearly as possible and to give my best advice when it comes to exams.
