As a student I suffered to understand mathematics well enough to beat my pals in school, but the harder I try the more difficult it becomes. I had to think outside the box, so I began to relate maths with everyday life activities and instances, then it all began to make sense that maths was not abstract afterall it was practical. Thus my teaching method is totally practical. once the concept is grabed, the students have perfect understanding on what to do to us. similar example.
I also brake my lessons into bits and units, so as not to compound what they have learnt and thus forgetting it. Giving them a sound understanding which is difficult to forget.
