About Khia
I am a literature tutor to people who wish to work on their English. I study Spanish in order to communicate with students better. I’m very patient and use a variety of strategies to teach because every student learns differently. I take pride in celebrating progress we’ve made. Can also work with students who struggle with dyslexia.

I use a variety of teaching methods since every student is different. My primary method is show, guide, watch. That’s where I show an example of what to do, then I guide the student to do it, then they do it themselves while I take notes of strengths and weaknesses. I use a positive vibe approach where we embrace mistakes and correct them together as a team. As a tutor my job is to guide not to judge or scold. I keep a safe and welcoming environment for all!
