About Will
I worked in many communication roles within the private and public sectors before training to become a certified CELTA English language tutor and eventual English teacher, having undertaken a PGCE in 2014.
I am adaptive, clear in communication, receptive to feedback and keenly aware of a student's particular learning style and approach, having worked with a number of pupils with particular education needs.
I have enabled many students to perform successfully within GCSE and A-level exams and take pride in helping a student take charge of their own learning through engagement with self-assessment frameworks and target-setting.

I have worked at a leading, Cambridge, private school for four years and in leading London schools previously, providing lessons based on a committed love of literature and language, honed by real classroom experience in helping students achieve record results.
In currently studying for an MA in Early Modern literature, I offer dynamic, individual lessons that take the confusion out of Shakespeare and pre-modern texts, allowing the thrill of performance and historical context to re-infuse the text being studied.
I can provide tailored resources, previously used in real academic settings, as well as frameworks for assessment and inspirational further reading material.
I enjoy reading modern poetry, as well as fiction and non-fiction and am always keen to hear about a student's particular preferences in these areas. Learning needn't be without enjoyment and a great recommendation!
I advise that lessons last for at least 60mins to a maximum of 90mins.

Will has given my daughter a few English lessons to help her writing English essays ahead of her GCSEs. He has helped her a lot in a short space of time. She now has a better understanding of what she needs to do to get a good mark and is much clearer about what preparation will help her before her exams. Getting some good one to one feedback (as opposed to the class feedback she gets in school) on some of her existing work was also fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend Will as a tutor to anyone looking to improve their English ahead of exams.
