About Anthony
Now based in Vancouver Canada, Australian accordionist Anthony Schulz has devoted his life to the art of music, exploring and showcasing the versatility and refinement of the piano accordion. Anthony has graced the stage with numerous highly acclaimed ensembles and projects, from Luciano Pavarotti to ECM's Barre Phillips, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and ARIA award-winning Zulya and the Children of the Underground. His musical vision spans various genres, including chamber music, original compositions, world music ensembles, and improvisation.
Anthony has over 30 years teaching and lecturing experience in private practice (studio, face-to-face and online) and at college/university level.
He has a Bachelor of Music, Masters of Music, and a Graduate Diploma of Education.

Lessons are typically student-centred and designed to meet the specific musical needs of the student. Lesson planning depends on the immediate needs and medium term goals discussed at the commencement of lessons and at intervals throughout the program or year.
I have experience teaching across a wide variety of styles and genres and work with students who are just starting out through to experienced. The learner's age is no barrier to getting started or advancing on the accordion.
