About Benjamin
I’m Benji, a London-based actor and director offering a collaborative and integrative approach to actor training. Together, we will work on finding approaches and techniques that work for you individually, so you can walk into any room and give the best performance you can.
Whether it’s Drama School Auditions, LAMDA examinations, or general acting support, I accept students of all experience, whether it’s your first audition or your fiftieth.
My approach is professional and comprehensive, and we will work together to identify the support you need. Some of my specialities include…
Developing craft and technique:
Working on vocal understanding, tension release, text work, and creating a warm-up that puts you in a place ready to work.
Shakespeare support:
Combatting the fear that comes with his writing, learning how to honour the text through an understanding of verse, prose and Iambic pentameter.
Developing audition technique:
Learning how to find the courage to walk into any room, and present yourself and your work in a way that is true to you and presents yourself as the fantastic actor you are.

Lessons are tailor-made by me for each student and before we start we will take time to identify your wants and goals. My sessions are designed ultimately so you can take away and learn as much as possible.
I offer three main programmes but these can be changed and adjusted depending on your needs.
They are Drama School audition support, general acting training and LAMDA tuition. Here’s what you might explore in one of my sessions…
1. DRAMA SCHOOL AUDITION SUPPORT
- Assist choosing speeches that speak to you the actor
- Establish what schools will be right for you
- Honing your craft
- Develop audition technique and learn about what to expect on the day of your auditions
- Shakespeare / Classical text support
- Solidify application deadlines
- Create bespoke programme of classes leading up to your exams
- Aid in personal statement preparation
2. GENERAL ACTOR TRAINING
- Finding agents and working out who might be the best fit for you
- Filling in any holes left from training
- Working on areas of your craft, such as voice and movement
- Understanding character, story and subtext
- Preparing self-tapes and identifying appropriate scripts
- Refining audition technique with online mock auditions
