Professional actress and drama facilitator unlocks potential: auditions, exam pieces, confidence building

I worked with Florence as a director and dramaturg on my solo Edinburgh show last year. She was brilliant to work with, encouraging and made me feel safe and secure sharing my work. Flo is a kind, open-hearted teacher who creates an exciting, comfortable space for diving deep into characters, telling stories, and exploring the human condition. Flo brings her insightful approach to acting to her teaching so we took time to really understand characters' motivations and understand the world from their point of view which I really enjoyed. I had a great time in my lessons with Flo building my confidence by inhabiting new roles. She is an excellent actor and a generous, thoughtful teacher who personalises her lessons to your individual needs. Definitely recommend!

I was coached by Florence for several auditions (TV/theatre) over the last couple of years and found her directions clear, insightful and really motivating! She has a great knack for getting quickly to the crux of a text and giving useful and practical advice on how to bring the words alive. I enjoyed her use of improv and imaginative exercises to take me deeper into the roles and always left the sessions feeling more confident and closer to the characters.
