About Bernie
I enjoy the teaching process but also the process of learning and discovering ways that will help better your engagement as a learner of English. Helping you understand yourself and what makes you tick and what drives you is an important aspect of my teaching.
I have taught English as a Second Language for 8 years, both in General English but also IELTS. I have also worked in retail, hospitality, administration and the performing arts industry so my professional experience is quite broad and varied.

My lessons are created according to your needs and unique learning styles.
Our trial lesson will involve getting to know you and what has brought about your desire to improve on your English language skills. We'll talk about what your short term and long term goals are and talk about the best ways you learn, so that what I teach you will stick and you'll be more engaged with the content I present to you.
Lessons will be 1 hour in length and am open to teaching people of all ages from all walks of life.
I have 8 years experience in teaching General English (Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Reading, Writing and Speaking) from Elementary through to Advanced. I also have 4 years in teaching IELTS Preparation Classes.
