About Shayne
My name is Shayne Dalva, a professional classical soprano who also sings various genres for various collaborations. I have over 15 years of teaching experience and 25 years of performing experience with orchestras, bands and concert piano. I genuinely love teaching, and my own students have brought me to tears with their incredible improvements after they have had time with me. Nothing makes me feel better than making a singer feel confident and discover the true resonance.

I teach classical vocal technique from the bel canto school of Italy. I studied with world-renowned baritone Vladimir Chernov at UCLA for 8 years. I use exercises and warm-ups that help my students understand the mechanics of their instrument (voice and body.) I am very detailed, but also help my students feel confident and comfortable with their voice. My students notice results in the first lesson, and cannot believe the sound that comes out of them when I teach them how to use their body and breath correctly, how to control their jaw and create resonance. My most successful student signed a 3-year contract with Disney in Tokyo and continued his lessons even when he was living and performing there. I am a mixture of science and art, because that is how you learn proper technique. I have a great sense of humour, and treat everyone as an individual instead of a generic lesson. I have 25 years of performing experience and 15 years of teaching experience. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, and would love to have local students in my new time zone. I am located in Southampton, but teach online to any location. When I get up to 10 students I shall be planning a student concert to showcase their talent and hard work.

Shayne is a brilliant singing teacher! Not only does she teach proper technique (Breath support and resonance), but also how to best perform and deliver songs.
