About Dylan
As a drum tutor with 14 years' of experience and a Master’s in Percussion Performance, I provide a high-quality learning experience. I’ve played professionally in bands, orchestras, and studio sessions. My lessons help you build strong technique and musical expression. I teach students how to understand rhythm deeply. We work on timing, dynamics, and independence. My teaching style is both structured and supportive.
I believe each student deserves a personalized path. You’ll learn the fundamentals as well as advanced concepts. I guide students through a variety of musical styles. Practice routines are designed to help you progress steadily. I value patience and motivation in the learning process. My goal is to make drumming enjoyable and fulfilling.

My drum lessons are designed to nurture creativity, improvisation, and musical expression alongside technical development. Each lesson is personalized to the student’s level and goals, whether they are a beginner exploring rhythm, an intermediate learner improving coordination, or an advanced drummer experimenting with complex patterns and improvisational techniques.
Lessons cover timing, hand independence, stick control, coordination, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and musical phrasing. I incorporate song learning, improvisation exercises, play-alongs, and creative challenges to inspire artistic exploration. Students also receive guidance on effective practice routines, goal-setting, and self-assessment to ensure steady improvement. My teaching environment is supportive, positive, and encouraging, providing a space for learners to experiment, take risks, and develop confidence.
Lessons emphasize listening, musical analysis, and the practical application of skills in both solo and ensemble contexts. Students learn to combine technical proficiency with expressive performance, developing their own unique style. I celebrate milestones, provide constructive feedback, and help learners set achievable goals to stay motivated.
Drumming becomes a tool for personal expression, creativity, and emotional release.
