About Sherri
I have been tutoring for approximately four years. I have taught numerous students in a full classroom environment as a teacher's assistant, andindividually using one on one tutoring. Recently, I taught 6 groups of 4-5 students as a Reading Interventionist Specialist. Students have improved their grades because of my instruction, and many have improved confidence too.

I am an Elementary Education major with a minor in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) who will graduate in 2017 from the University of West Florida. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy tutoring small groups of students along with private one on one tutoring. I have tutored many students as a Reading and Math tutor, but I have also tutored students privately in their homes and in public places. I use one on one tutoring and small group tutoring using workbooks, worksheets, videos and other instructional materials to enhance learning. I have also taught Phonics using the method developed by Dr. Beverly Tiner. I believe in tutoring bi-weekly so that the student has a chance to learn new material and then review the material on another day to ensure that the student is comprehending the material. I spend time with parents and guardians to discuss students' progress and goals so that students thrive in the classroom.
