About Lola
I am a flute tutor with 15 years of experience and over 150 students taught across all levels. My teaching philosophy focuses on balancing technical mastery with creativity and expression. I guide students in developing breath control, tone, finger agility, and rhythm, while encouraging improvisation and personal musical interpretation.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and objectives, ensuring steady progress and a positive learning experience. I also incorporate sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble performance to give students a well-rounded musical foundation. My mission is to inspire students to play confidently, skilfully, and passionately.

I teach flute using a methodology that emphasises adaptability, collaboration, and encouragement. I begin by assessing each student’s learning style and designing lessons to suit their pace, strengths, and musical goals. This ensures that learning is motivating, effective, and enjoyable.
Flexibility allows me to adjust exercises, repertoire, and lesson plans according to each student’s progress and interests. Collaboration is central to my approach; students participate in duets, ensemble exercises, and group practice to develop confidence, timing, and musical communication. Positivity guides every session, fostering a nurturing environment where students feel empowered to explore, experiment, and celebrate achievements.
In addition to flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology develops technical mastery, expressive ability, and musical understanding, helping students grow into confident and passionate musicians.
