About Benedict
Benedict teaches guitar to students of all levels and all ages, from beginner to pro, across all genres including classical, acoustic, electric, rock, blues, pop, funk, country, bluegrass, folk and more. He also works frequently as a slide guitar player and offers lessons in this medium. Benedict is a professional guitarist with live and session experience of over 10 years, having begun as a classical guitarist, then playing at major festivals with his own band, and working as a hired musician for various artists and genres, from R&B and funk to slide and acoustic work.

Lessons are typically offered as 1 hour sessions. Students start with an initial consultation for free, where goals, levels, inspirations and aspirations are discussed and a plan moving forward is made. Each lesson from there is aimed towards a specific goal, with the methodology of knowing the instrument, learning new music, and creating music (writing, improvising or composing) being the three pillars that are all targeted for improvement in a holistic way. Each lesson is then followed up with emailed notes including diagrams, links or attached videos, so students get the very most out of the time they invest in learning, and can practise at their own leisure and rate.
