About Chad Alan
I’ve always believed in that anyone can learn to play music—it just takes the right approach. No matter where you’re at in your journey, I can guarantee that after working with me, you’ll walk away with a better understanding of music and how to make it on your own.
I originally set out to be a music teacher, double majoring in Music Education and Percussion Performance. But after college, my love for recording and producing led me to Los Angeles, where I built my career in studios and playing live music.
From the very beginning, I was obsessed with sound—tapping along to Beatles records, messing with speaker systems to get the perfect sound, and just trying to figure out why certain songs hit so hard. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of great recordings—like feeling the room when Miles Davis’ sextet recorded Kind of Blue or the raw chaos behind Nirvana’s Nevermind. For me, it’s not just about playing music—it’s about capturing that magic in the studio.
