About Gryphen
I have been giving lessons since freshman year of college. I teach all stringed instruments, all brass, some woodwind, and drums. Went to Brevard College and got a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on Tuba. And am currently pursuing a Master's in Music Education at Converse University Contact me!

My teaching approach is student-centric. This means that I rarely go into a lesson with a one-track mind on this is what we have to do today. If I am teaching a middle school student I will gear my lessons towards his/her concert. If I am teaching a high school student, I might gear the lesson to his/her college auditions.

I’ve known him since the beginning of 8th grade last year and he taught my band/music class that whole year. He conducted an entire band with so many rowdy kids very well and was able to teach each of them how to play their instruments. i’ve had lessons from him for months now and they’ve been so helpful. I’m a bassist of just over 1 year and he’s taught me so many techniques and music theory i never would’ve known about. He also got me into bass and unlocked my passion for music.
