About Shiv
Hello talented musicians!!!
My name is Shiv and I'm a performing artist and a budding singer, I've been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and I have teaching experience of about 3-4 years.
My sole purpose of teaching is to genuinely encourage students to take up music. Since I've had a lot of trouble finding good guitar teachers I don't want a single youngster to go through the mental trauma of not sticking to one teacher as most of them were very money-minded and being a good musician doesn't necessarily make you a good teacher. Also, I don't mind giving a trial class to any student because I don't want a student to waste his/her money if they're not comfortable with my teaching techniques.

Some key points that describe my techniques of teaching are:
~ I first try to asses my student's knowledge of the instrument.
~ The most important and unique technique of mine is to ask them if they want to learn how to play the instrument just by learning a few songs or if they are serious enough to practice all the boring yet effective exercises to become an all-round guitar player
~ I try to form a different curriculum for every student as they want so that the classes don't feel like a task and their interest never fades with time.
My teaching approach varies from student to student and I keep asking for feedback to get better at imparting knowledge.
Since I've struggled a lot in finding a good music teacher I try my level best to take care of the growth of my students.
