I would definitely recommend Greg to anyone who is looking to start playing the guitar for the very first time, or has been playing for some time, but would like to improve on their skills and techniques!

Over the past year and a half, Greg has taught me more about the guitar than I have learned in the past. From the age of six to the age of twenty I had played the guitar from time to time. I had teachers when I lived in both Kenya and America, but I never really enjoyed the guitar.

During the national lockdown in South Africa, I had a lot of time on my hands. I had just got another acoustic guitar, this was the third one that I have owned so far in my life. I was planning to try and teach myself how to play again.

That is when Greg came up with the amazing idea of teaching me. I had known Greg for over four years, and went to a few of the gigs that he played. He was amazing and played at a few trendy joints throughout Cape Town. As soon as he offered his services I said yes without hesitation, and I haven’t looked back since.

Greg’s teaching style is customized. He adapts every lesson in a way that helped me to make amazing process, have fun, and break out of the “comfortable riffs” so that I can grow as a guitarist. He has taught me both the theoretical and the practical aspects of guitar and the music world. He ignited that long-lost passion that I had for the guitar. In fact, he inspired me so much that I finally bought an electric guitar, something I had always dreamed of doing since I was seven years old!

It has been an amazing journey so far! Greg’s lessons always teach me something new. Between the in-person/virtual lessons, customized videos for techniques and guitar exercises, and being available to provide guidance out of lessons, I have made more progress in the past year and a half than I did during the previous 14 years.

If you’re looking for a great experience and want to feel so motivated for the guitar that you would practice it every single day, then Greg is your teacher!
