About Isaac
Hello there! I’m Isaac, a dedicated medical student at Newcastle University with a profound enthusiasm for both learning and teaching. My journey in tutoring, particularly with MyTutor and Tutorful over the past couple of years, has honed my teaching abilities and allowed me to assist students in excelling in exams while nurturing a comprehensive understanding of the subjects. My academic achievements stand as a testament to my proficiency: securing 3A*s in Maths, Biology, and Music, along with 2As in Further Maths and Chemistry. Furthermore, I attained exceptional GCSE results, with all 9s and 8s, and even pursued a Latin GCSE in Year 10 without formal lessons. In the UCAT, I achieved a remarkable score in the top 1% of the country, specifically 3160 Band 1, followed by impressive results in the BMAT that granted me an invitation to interview at Oxford University for Medicine.

I prioritise my students' progress and maintain open lines of communication between lessons. Every tutoring session is a unique opportunity for me to tailor my teaching approach to accommodate the individual learning style of each student. I firmly believe in the potential for positive change, a belief substantiated by my own experience in transforming an E to an A in A Level Further Maths within just 3 months. My expertise extends to a thorough understanding of the AQA/OCR Science curriculum, as well as the Edexcel Maths and Further Maths curriculum for A Levels. I bring extensive experience in teaching a variety of AQA/Edexcel GCSE subjects to the table. Additionally, I specialise as a UCAT tutor, leveraging personalised resources to optimise practice sessions and deliver the most effective methods and techniques for improvement. One of my most recent tutees (September 2024) has achieved a score of 3190 Band 1, an exceptional score placing them well within the top 1% of the country.
