I was in the school choir in middle school for fun but since then I never dared to sing as I thought I’d never be good enough. I never thought I would get back to singing but through our lesson Paolo helped me build my confidence back.

As one of Paolo's family members, I have of course known him for a very long time. He is trilingual in English, Italian and Spanish, an attribute which gives him a unique perspective on the learning process.

I have been living in Mexico and working as a symphony musician for 29 years, and there was a time period over which I supervised an English Conversation Group for adult students, during my spare time. Paolo happened to be visiting and he accompanied me to team-teach one of the classes.

He had been performing in the musical theatre work "Into the Woods", and it occurred to us to discuss fairy tales with the group. We separated the students into subgroups who would participate in a contest to develop the best new fairy tale and present it, with each person acting out their respective character (Princess, Wicked Witch, Big Bad Wolf, etc.). In subsequent classes the students remarked to me that this particular class had been their favorite, undoubtedly in large part due to Paolo's active and inspiring participation.
