About Caswell
My long-term background in education has given me the opportunity to work with students of varying ages and diverse backgrounds. Some students struggle with dyslexia; some with learning English as a second language. I'm skilled at basing instruction on data/feedback and considering a student's individual abilities when making determinations about implementation and pacing. There is reassurance in knowing that all of my interventions are based on proven practices and science of reading (SoR) concepts.

If you're a struggling reader, I can help! I'm an experienced teacher using a proven tool. The systematic, research-based intervention that I teach (Wilson) has verifiable success. It not only focuses on reading, but also on connected skills known to strengthen reading ability: blending, listening, spelling, and comprehension. Consider this experience of a former student:
My daughter worked with Camille when she was in fourth grade but could barely read a word. We had tried everything—different methods, at-home curriculums—but nothing seemed to work. I reached out to Camille in desperation, and she graciously agreed to work with my child.

Details
I charge based on my education, experience, and success rate. Targeted lessons, using evidence-based practices, translates to students learning faster and paying for lessons over a shorter time period. After all, time is money!
Struggling readers, especially dyslexic students, require consistent, targeted practice. Research suggests that effective reading instruction for these students requires more than one lesson per week. Tuition is charged monthly and varies depending on the student and the level of intervention needed. Hourly prices listed (required by this platform) refer to the average cost per lesson. However, I only offer monthly packages – giving a discounted rate for more frequent instruction packages. Tuition covers either two or three 40-minute lessons per week. Please contact me for current rates based on your student's needs. Requesting a quote comes with no pressure and no obligation!
The offered 30 minute free lesson is a parent consultation to determine student needs.
