About Sonia
I am a classically trained violinist with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Montreal, where I had the privilege to study under renowned mentors Eleonora and Yuli Turovsky, founders of I Musici de Montréal. With 20 years of teaching experience, I have taught privately and within music academies, guiding students to build strong technical foundations while nurturing their musical expression. I specialize in beginner to intermediate levels, focusing on solid fundamentals through a clear, structured, and supportive approach. In addition to teaching, I have performed with orchestras and recorded Latin and pop music for various artists, bringing a diverse range of professional experience to my lessons. Fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Bulgarian, I provide instruction in multiple languages to ensure a comfortable and inclusive learning environment. My goal is to deliver high-quality teaching that cultivates both skill and confidence in every student.
