About Marianne
My interest in programming began with curiosity about how software applications are created and how they solve real world problems. This curiosity led me to pursue a Master’s in Software Engineering, where I developed strong knowledge in coding, system design, and development processes. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students from different academic backgrounds and helped them build confidence in programming. Teaching has become an important and rewarding part of my professional journey.
My teaching style is simple, structured, and patient. I understand that programming can feel challenging at the beginning, so I break down each concept into smaller, easy-to-understand steps. I use examples, guided practice, and real coding scenarios to make learning effective and engaging. I also encourage students to ask questions, practice regularly, and build confidence step by step so they can improve steadily without feeling discouraged.
Beyond teaching, I continue exploring new programming languages, tools, and technologies to stay updated with industry trends. This helps me bring modern and practical knowledge into my lessons. I believe programming is not just about writing code but about developing a strong logical mindset and problem-solving ability. My goal is to help students become confident and independent programmers who can build real applications, solve meaningful problems, and succeed in both academic and professional environments with clarity, confidence, and long-term growth.

My programming lessons are designed to make coding simple, structured, and easy to understand for every student. I begin with basic concepts such as variables, loops, conditions, and simple programs, explaining each topic in very simple and clear English. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind programming instead of memorizing syntax. I use small examples and practical problems so students can clearly understand how programs work step by step. I also create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning without pressure.
As students progress, I introduce more advanced topics such as functions, arrays, object oriented programming, and data structures. I guide students step by step through writing, testing, and improving their code. Debugging is treated as an essential skill, and I teach students how to identify errors, understand their causes, and fix them effectively. Practice exercises are included in every lesson to strengthen coding ability and logical thinking. Each lesson is carefully structured to ensure steady progress and strong understanding over time.
Programming becomes much more effective when students learn how to think logically and solve problems independently. I focus on helping learners develop strong problem solving skills so they can approach any coding challenge with confidence. Over time, students become more comfortable writing their own programs and exploring new ideas. My goal is to help students build strong programming foundations, improve technical skills, and apply their knowledge in real world situations such as projects, applications, and future careers while developing confidence, independence, and long term success in coding.
