About Emmie
I am passionate about Psychology and supporting others to reach their potential. I believe Psychology is an important subject to understand and can be formative in how we perceive the world. From past experience, I understand how Psychology can be taught in a way that seems confusing, abstract or complex. I also understand how essay writing and research methods can seem difficult and frustrating. I use these experiences and knowledge as a tutor to help students to reach their academic goals.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Psychology GCSE and A-Level tutor. I have worked with many A-Level and GCSE Psychology students to achieve their desired grades.
I graduated from Newcastle University with a first class degree in Psychology, receiving the BPS award for high achievement. I received an A* in Psychology and Sociology and an A in Mathematics at A-Level. I am currently training to become a qualified primary school teacher. I also have experience within several special schools with children with complex additional needs.
Psychology analyses everyday human behaviours, but can seem complex and abstract without real life examples. I, therefore, believe it is important to demonstrate examples of psychological principles using TV shows, films, books and music to aid understanding. I also try to find examples from things my students enjoy watching or listening to! I am flexible with lesson timings and content, just let me know what would be best for you.
I am also able to support with Sociology tutoring at GCSE and A-Level level, Psychology tutoring at University level and Maths tutoring at KS3 and GCSE level.
