About Valerie
I have an Honors degree in Industrial Psychology from Rhodes University. I am currently completing my Master's in Industrial Psychology at Wits University. Making people feel comfortable comes naturally to me. I have been told that I am easily approachable, compassionate and have a bubbly personality. I love meeting new people, forming new relationships, especially with young children. I believe you learn more from others when you interact, listen and appreciate them and their individual differences. It makes you learn new perspectives and grow as an individual. I have the ability to use different learning approaches to assist different learning capabilities of my students so I can offer flexibility in my classes. I know that learning new things can be scary sometimes, but we can make it a fun and empowering process. My Psychological experience has equipped me with skills to read people well, ability to listen and also cater for students who are in the social sciences field. I look forward to learning and growing with you in my classes.

I love helping others accomplish their goals. I am passionate and commit myself to everything that I do. I am also a focused and result-oriented individual. My teaching experience is varied from working with students from pre-school, primary school, high school and university level. I am familiar with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and can teach Maths, English, Psychology and Sociology.
