Lessons are personalized, interactive, and highly practical. I tend to balance out students' needs and contemporary readings with fun writing exercises that help students develop the cognitive skills necessary to create fulfilling writing. My teaching is as useful for advanced writers such as high school, college students, and post-grad adults as it is for middle-grade students. For interested students, I also teach about how to pursue literary publication in magazines and journals.
