About Zahra
Hi! I'm Zahra, a dedicated reader and author. My goal with this gig is to provide young, aspiring writers with knowledge I have picked up from my time as a writer. Over the past few years I have written over ten books with more in the works! I have also published two of my books quite recently.
In the past I have worked with creative writing teachers who really just take the fun out of writing and that is why I strive to make lessons with me fun and enjoyable. Being closer in age with students also allow students to confide in me with questions more easily than they would with a school teacher.

While I am young, I am not lacking in experience, as in the past I I used to look over and help grade some papers in my english classes as an extra-credit activity. As well as that, I have taken a writing course in Oxford University in the Summer of 2023. I am also a published author of 3 books.
Now, what can YOU expect in a lesson with me?
Some main things I will focus and work on are:
How does the writing make a reader feel?
Is the pacing of your story too fast/slow?
Does the dialogue between your characters seem natural?
How do I, and readers, feel about your characters?
Do your character's action seem out of character?
Would certain things be confusing to a reader?
Could the setting be more descriptive?

Lesson length can be from 30/45minutes to an hour depending on your preference.
The age group I will teach are students aged 10 to 13 years. So late primary up to early/mid secondary.
Please remember these lessons are not for IGCSE english language exams because I am not qualified to do that. Instead, these lessons are a chance for young, aspiring authors to further their knowledge in FICTION story writing.
