About Malachy
I am an incoming MSc student in Mathematics at King's College London having been awarded the Martingale Scholarship to fund my master's and PhD at a select few top universities in the UK, namely Imperial, King's, UCL, Oxford and Cambridge. Before that I completed my undergraduate degree in mathematics at University College Cork where I excelled in my studies and discovered a life-long love of teaching. I founded Quantifold, a technology company dedicated to creating interactive online mathematics lessons to break through the barriers to mathematics that exist for some students. I have 8+ years of tutoring experience which I have been building up since secondary school, where I tutored for both pure and applied mathematics topics. I love finding new ways to teach difficult things in simple ways, and this is the approach I bring to teaching.

Teaching is done in an interactive style: lots of questions to try to figure out your level of understanding. Fun problems, interactive games and contextualization of mathematical ideas to make things intuitive. Lessons typically last an hour. I have over 8 years of private tutoring experience and the wealth of experience from undergraduate and postgraduate education in pure mathematics and I aim to figure out the level at which you currently struggle and then find a way to make it make sense to you. Typically I teach students from ages 11-19, but I can make exceptions for students who are slightly older or younger.
My classes will engage, challenge and ultimately reward you with a better understanding than you ever had before.
