About Monica
Monica is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where she earned an Honours BA in English and History with high distinction, graduated with a 3.9/4.0 GPA, and held a consistent place on the Dean’s Honour Roll. With two years of experience in museum education, Monica successfully developed engaging, inclusive, hands-on learning experiences for diverse audiences. Monica is now continuing her education journey through Western University’s Teacher Education program, specializing in the Intermediate/Senior division. Monica has experience tutoring students in writing, reading, editing, and developing study skills from elementary through university levels. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-centred approach that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. She is passionate about empowering students to become confident learners who not only achieve academic success but also develop a love of learning. One of her favourite parts about teaching is the “ah-ha” moment.
