About Vasiliki
Hi! I’m Vasi, an enthusiastic English tutor and full-time secondary school teacher with a true passion for helping students shine. I believe that learning should be exciting, encouraging, and a bit of an adventure! I love teaching because every student brings something unique, and I get to see them grow and gain confidence in ways they might never have thought possible. My approach is warm, creative, and always focused on making sure you feel supported and capable. Whether we’re focusing on creative writing, tackling grammar, or prepping for exams, I’m here to make English something you look forward to and to celebrate every success along the way!

My approach to tutoring centers on adaptive, student-focused teaching, with each lesson carefully crafted to meet individual needs and learning styles. Drawing on my qualifications, including a PGCE in English and an undergraduate degree in theatre and drama studies, I employ a diverse range of teaching strategies to make lessons both engaging and effective. I use interactive discussions, multimedia resources, and creative exercises that encourage critical thinking and active participation, while ensuring material is accessible to each student. My experience with students who have English as an additional language has made me highly skilled in breaking down complex concepts and reinforcing language skills through gradual, immersive learning techniques.
Each lesson is one hour long and is tailored to help students build confidence at a comfortable pace. I frequently adjust resources, activities, and pacing based on student progress, ensuring that every session addresses their current understanding and personal goals. My lessons are particularly suited for students in KS2, KS3, and especially for GCSE and KS4, where I emphasise not only knowledge acquisition but also strategies to retain information and apply critical analysis. My goal is to help each student develop a strong, adaptable foundation in English, empowering them to succeed in their academic journey.
